What is industrial waste disposal?
Industrial waste is defined as meeting both of the following criteria:
1) Waste generated through business activities
2) Any cinder, sludge, waste oil, waste acid, waste alkali, waste plastic or other waste material specified
by government ordinance.
The followings are specific examples of industrial waste:
・Cinders: waste ash, coal ash, coke ash, etc.
・Sludges: chemical sludge from papermaking and metal plating plants, sewage sludge,
bentonite sludge, settled sludge from water purification plants, etc.
・Waste oil: lubricant, cutting fluid, detergent oil, insulating oil, etc.
・Waste acid: sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc.
・Waste alkali: coal ash wastewater, ammonia wastewater, photo developer waste,
caustic soda wastewater, etc.
